Emile Gallé (1846-1904) - Transparent glass vase in the shape of a horn with a polylobate neck and polychrome enamel decoration of flowering chrysanthemums and numerous insects with white, blue, pink bodies; numerous oblong gilded straw glass cabochons in imitation of cowries are applied hot to the body of the vase. Signature engraved under the base: E Gallé à Nancy. Height : 34 cm. Circa: 1890. A similar model is reproduced in the catalogue Emile Gallé, Innovations Verrières, N° 76 page 91, Meisenthal.
