Our history

The Hôtel des Ventes des Notaires was born from the desire of the Chamber of Notaries to create a structure complementary to the exercise of their profession, while contributing to the development and perpetuation of the art market in Alsace. The notary holds the hammer on the day of the sale and assures both the seller and the buyer of seriousness and confidentiality. Thus, created in 1989 and with more than 1200 sales to our credit, it is on thirty years of experience of the art market that we can rely.

All our auctions are voluntary, public and free. We hold our sales on Saturdays approximately once a month, preceded by an exhibition of the items for sale. As a result, we offer around twenty sales each year, which provide art lovers and lovers of fine objects and collections with unique and galvanising moments, typical of the magic of the auction world. Covering a vast choice, from furniture and period objects to more contemporary design, old masters to modern figures, various antiques, wines, jewellery, books, not forgetting our thematic sales (toys, militaria...), we are keen to pay particular attention to quality goods.
 

Furthermore, our main objective is to assist our clients with inventories (tax, inheritance, partition or guardianship), appraisals, advice and sales. Indeed, our team of enthusiasts is at your disposal, in close collaboration with numerous experts in various specialities and will do everything possible to promote the sale of the objects entrusted to them. The goods are promoted by an adequate advertising in order to warn our customers but also to provoke the curiosity of the professional or the enlightened amateur.

Finally, anchored in our territory, we travel throughout the region while keeping an eye on the international scene thanks to the online broadcasting of all our sales in order to reach enthusiasts all over the world and to give the greatest number of people the opportunity to participate in our auctions.
