FRANCE: Oval brooch in the form of a shield resting on a swo - Lot 351
FRANCE: Oval brooch in the form of a shield resting on a sword. The mention "GLORIA VULNERATIS PRO JURE ET LIBERTATE - 1914-1915", surrounds, in band, the intermediate part of the token divided into 7 quarters representing the blazons of the allied states of the 1st World War. In the centre, there is a red cross on a round white background. Dumb back with a pin. In its green box, there is a red cross on the lid. This brooch, called "jewels of the allies" sold by the red cross, takes the design of the model of the first medal of the wounded awarded in 1914/1915, before the current and better known model, with a red star.
