INFANTRY OFFICER'S SABRE, Model 1882, four-point hilt, Third Republic. White metal frame, four-point hilt ending in scrolls towards the cruise, long-tailed cap, filigreed horn handle. Straight double-edged blade, length 87 cm, engraved on the heel "Mre d'Armes de Châtellerault Off.d'Infanterie Modèle 1882 Mars 1912". Single-ring steel scabbard. Officer's lanyard for field dress, in black patent leather. Total length: 101 cm France. Third Republic. Fairly good condition, oxidation on the scabbard.
