Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904) Round dish in lightly smoked glass with a half-folded border on two sides, each adorned with a semi-circular openwork handle hot-applied to the outer rim and body of the dish. The round base is surrounded by a scalloped, hot-applied glass ribbon. The piece features an enameled decoration of stylized blue and green lotus flowers in a semi arch of golden dots, framed by a frieze of yellow flowers on the inside of the dish and a frieze of blue rectangles on the inside of the dish. Engraved double-line signature under the base, next to an engraved flower: Cristallerie d'Émile Gallé, Nancy.
