ALSATIAN CABINET
Composed of three parts (pediment, body and entablature) entirely inlaid with geometric motifs on the entire front and punctuated by three ringed columns, opening with two casements pierced by windows set on a base richly decorated with foliage, flowers and grotesque heads, supporting a pediment inlaid with a cartouche indicating the date "1681" crowned by a rectilinear cornice. The low, recessed cabinet features a jerky drawer with lions' heads, supported by four ball feet. The cabinet is adorned with fine ironwork for the locks, escutcheons and hinges. One-key opening.
Worked according to the principles of the masterpieces of the Strasbourg guild.
