[NANCY] - BERGERET (Albert) - Nancy monumental et pittoresqu - Lot 297
[NANCY] - BERGERET (Albert) - Nancy monumental et pittoresque, by A. Bergeret. Album of 100 phototype plates, with preface by M. Pfister. Nancy, Chez l'Auteur, 1896; in-folio, 6 ff.n.ch. + 100 ff. plates, publisher's illustrated lace-up portfolio, muted black percaline spine (traces of use to the portfolio).
portfolio).
First edition, a complete copy of the 100 hors-texte plates phototyped by Maison Royer. The album is divided into two parts: the first devoted to the city during the reign of Stanislas (1736-1766), with reproductions of 19 engravings, and the second - and more interesting - to the Nancy of 1896, with 81 photographic plates.
Some dusty plates, but a good copy.
