FULTON (Robert) - The illustrated book of Pigeons. With Standards for Judging. London, Paris & New York, Cassel, Petter, Galpin & Co. s.d. (1874-1876); in-4, VIII + 392 pp. in contemporary half-cornered half-chagrin, spine ribbed, gilt-lettered head (spine rubbed, spidering to spines and corners). Luxurious monograph on pigeons, illustrated with 50 out-of-text chromolithographs, including the frontispiece, and woodcuts in the text. The chromolithographs are protected by serpents. Some foxing, mainly on the first three leaves and on the edges. A fair copy in spite of the stated defects.
