Marc BERTHIER (1935-2022) for ROCHE BOBOIS Ozoo 700" model Pair of single beds, initiated in 1970 and made in France, in reinforced and lacquered fiberglass formerly accommodating cushions, mahogany legs and stained plywood base. H 30 cm x W 190 cm x L 90 cm Minor wear, with one top edge joint missing, the other leg to be glued back in place. Widely hailed as the designer of lightness, Marc Berthier's creativity has been recognized by numerous awards, including the Grand Prix National de Création Industrielle, two Compasso d'Oro awards, the Gabriel prize, the Art and Industry medal and the New York Accent Design. To date, several of her works are exhibited in major museums, including the Museum of Modern Art / MoMa in New York.
