SARREGUEMINES, circa 1895-1900 Vase in fine earthenware coated with glazes colored by metallic oxides, known as Majolique. Bears the shape number "2791", which corresponds to a "Vase" in the Sarreguemines faïencerie's list of fancy and decorative object numbers. Obtained by molding, ovoid shape with small straight neck. Blue background. Sponge decoration creating a blue speckled effect on a turquoise background, in oblong reserves on the body and in small lozenges under the neck. Gold highlights. Engraved marks under the base: "C 11A - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, shape number "2791", decoration number "1380" and "I" shaping mark. Height: 20 cm Minor wear
