SARREGUEMINES, circa 1880 Planter in fine earthenware coated with glazes colored by metallic oxides, known as Majolique. Bears the shape number "1088", which corresponds to a "Jardinière ovale basse" (low oval planter) in the Sarreguemines faïencerie's list of fancy and decorative object numbers. Obtained by molding, oval shape with two handles, resting on four feet. Grid pattern in rectangular reserves with rounded with rounded corners. U-shaped frieze alternating with dots. Green "bronze" majolica. Engraved markings under the base: "C 03 - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, "C 07 - MAJOLICA", shape number "88" for "1088". H 10.5 x W 39.5 x D 21.5 cm Minor wear
