SARREGUEMINES "L'Amour Vannier" cigar holder Circa 1870 Cigar-holder in fine earthenware obtained by molding and coated with glazes colored by metallic oxides, known as Majolica. Bears the shape number "173", which corresponds to a "Porte-cigare l'Amour Vannier" in the Sarreguemines faïencerie's list of fancy and decorative object numbers. Features a putto, seated on a flower and holding the handle of a cigar-holder basket. Marks under the base: "C 03 SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, "C 07 - MAJOLICA", shape number "173" and "R" shaping mark. H 16.50 x W 20.50 cm x D 13.30 cm Wear, top of basket restored
