SARREGUEMINES "Compotier trois compartiments circa 1877-78 Compotier in fine earthenware coated with glazes colored by metallic oxides, known as Majolique. Bears the shape number "637", which corresponds to a "Compotier trois compartiments" in the Sarreguemines faienceware numbering list. Obtained by molding, with three shell-shaped compartments and relief decoration of leaves and aquatic plants, joined by a tree branch. Engraved markings under the base: "C 03 - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, "C 07 - MAJOLICA", shape number "637" and illegible shaping mark. H 13.5 x W 30 cm Minor wear
