SARREGUEMINES Vineyard" fountain basin Circa 1880-85 Majolica fountain basin in fine earthenware coated with glazes colored with metallic oxides. The piece bears the shape number "1057", which corresponds to a "Fontaine Vigne" in the Sarreguemines faience manufacturer's list of fancy and decorative object numbers. Obtained by molding, container imitating the bottom of a wooden barrel encircled with metal, resting on three short legs. Engraved markings under the base: "C 03 - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, shape number "1057" and "S" shaping mark. H 10.70 x W 33 x D 28 cm Wear
