SARREGUEMINES Cork-holder" jug Circa 1882 Enameled stoneware jug. Carries the shape number "1167", which corresponds to a "Porte-bouchons" in the Sarreguemines faïencerie's list of fancy and decorative object numbers. Obtained by molding, it is pan-shaped with a handle, a high neck and a pouring spout. On the lower part, incised and enameled decoration imitating a cannage, neck decorated with horizontal flutes, inverted ogival arches in blue at the base of the neck. Engraved markings under the base: "C 03 - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, shape number "1167", decoration number "302", shaping mark "B" and handwritten mark "27". Height: 21 cm Slight wear
