SARREGUEMINES "Canapé inkwell Circa 1920-25 Fine earthenware inkwell holder. Carries the shape number "4160" which corresponds, in the list of numbers of fancy and decorative objects at the Sarreguemines faience factory, to a "Canapé inkwell". Obtained by molding, in the shape of a sofa, with printed floral decoration, called "Roses and daisies". Edges highlighted by a painted pink ribbon. Two lids with the same design. A recess in the middle of the backrest for a gousset watch. Debossed markings under the base: shape number "4160", shaping mark "X". Printed marks: "I 36A - SARREGUEMINES D.V. FRANCE" for the factory and "R" and "Q" for the decorators. H 10 x W 21 x D 10 cm Misses, chips and restoration
