SARREGUEMINES "German wine jug Circa 1880-82 Enameled stoneware jug. Does not bear a shape number, but corresponds, in the list of numbers of fancy and decorative objects at the Sarreguemines faience factory, to a "German wine jug" number "1063". Obtained by molding, of pan-shaped form with handle and high narrow neck, resting on a small pedestal. Pewter lid and hoops. On the lower part, incised and enameled decoration imitating canework, neck with incised decoration of twisted flutes and inverted ogival arches in brown at its base. Engraved marks under the base: "C 03 - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, decoration number "194", shaping mark "S" and size number "2". Height: 28.50 cm Slight wear
