SARREGUEMINES Cork-holder" jug Circa 1882 Enameled stoneware jug. Carries the shape number "1166", which corresponds to a "Porte-bouchons" in the list of numbers for decorative objects at the Sarreguemines faience factory. Obtained by molding, conical shape with handle, high narrow neck with spout. Incised and enameled decoration imitating caning on the lower part of the body. Neck decorated with brown and green undulations. Engraved marks under the base: "C 03 - SARREGUEMINES" for the factory, "1166" shape number, "301" decoration number, "S" shaping mark and "11" handwritten mark. Height: 21 cm Chips and cracks
