SARREGUEMINES "Gnafron tobacco jar Circa 1920-25 Majolica tobacco pot in fine earthenware coated with glazes colored with metallic oxides. Bears the shape number "3338", which corresponds to a "Pot à tabac Gnafron" in the Sarreguemines faïencerie's list of fancy and decorative object numbers. Obtained by molding, it represents a man's head wearing a top hat, acting as a lid. Gnafron is a puppet from Lyon, a companion to Guignol. Debossed marks: "C 11B - SARREGUEMINES FRANCE" for the factory, shape number "3338", paste number "530" and "B" shaping mark. Height: 17.5 cm Wear
