LANVIN Arpège" model Miniature perfume bottle mounted as a necklace, gilded metal Bottle height: 4.4 cm Wear from use The bottle was designed by Armand-Albert Rateau, who created the famous black ball topped with a gilded gadrooned cap. The drawing on the bottle by Paul Iribe is an old ex-libris used as an advertising vignette by Lanvin in the early 1920s. The stylized design is taken from a 1907 photograph of Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter Marguerite posing for a costume ball.
