CHRISTOFLE - Lot 127
CHRISTOFLE Villeroy" and "America" models Mismatched silver-plated dinner service with about 30 pieces: - 11 consommé spoons - 10 table forks - 2 table knives. Length: 24.5 cm - 6 coffee spoons - 1 butter knife House hallmark on each piece Wear Created in 1933 by designer Luc Lanel, the America cutlery collection is typically Art Deco. With its cut sides, stepped molding and drawn angles, the model opts for a refined graphic line, characteristic of the architectural movements of the period. The Villeroy collection, created in 1953, is a model with a prestigious past: it adorned the dinner table given in honor of Queen Elizabeth II at Versailles on the occasion of her visit to France in 1957.
